In between visits to the vet I’ve been busy working on this family portrait for one of my favorite customers, commissioned by her husband. I’m really happy with how it turned out and so are they and that’s a wonderful feeling!
I’m also really excited to start work on the next batch of pottery and will share sneak peeks as pieces start taking shape. It’s a very long and slow process and it’s going to take a while before new work is ready for new homes so please be patient.
As for the schedule for February, the shop will be open on the first and third weekends of the month.
- Fri & Sat, the 1st & 2nd
- Fri & Sat, the 15th & 16th
Fridays 2-8 and Saturdays 1-8
Depending on how Bisbis is doing I plan on opening shop at least a couple more days this month and when I have a better idea of when that will be I’ll make sure to post about it on instagram and on here.
If you missed the post where I announced the changes taking place this year in terms of the schedule, please follow this link there you’ll find a thorough explanation and an amazing portrait of Bisbis courtesy of Bashar of A Map & a Lens fame.
I really appreciate people being as understanding as they have been and I know what a risk it was to decide to go against everyone and everything that urges us all to grow bigger, produce faster, sleep when you die, suffer for your art etc etc and instead take a step back and grow slow and small. It feels so much better!
It really couldn’t have come at a better time too because Bisbis needed a lot of time and attention this past month and I was able to give it to him and work on this family portrait where the animals outnumber the humans (because that’s how it should be). And I opened both weekends I said I would. The new system is working!
If you’ve never been and you’re wondering about the location of the shop, you can easily find it on google maps just by searching for it, however I recommend following my directions as they definitely won’t get you lost.
I don’t check messages on any platforms because there’s too many to keep up with, and if I don’t follow you then your messages automatically go into a junk folder that I pretend doesn’t exist. So messages on instagram, facebook, twitter, etc will go ignored not because I want to ignore you personally but because I don’t want to spend tons of my time on social media, so I won’t. If you need to reach me you can call or text 079-643-3311, email firstname.lastname@example.org, comment on this post, or you can use the form found on this website and I’ll be sure to reply to you in less than 3 years, and that is a promise I promise to keep!
Finally, thank you for being understanding. I’m forever grateful that I’m able to do what I love to do and that there are people out there who are enthusiastic about it. Who could ask for more.
